LIFETIME WARRANTY

1. HUNTMASTER offer a lifetime warranty with every HUNTMASTER speargun subject to the Conditions below.

2. In the unlikely event that there is a fault or defect in your HUNTMASTER speargun, HUNTMASTER will repair or replace the speargun. HUNTMASTER guarantees that any HUNTMASTER speargun returned to HUNTMASTER in accordance with this Lifetime Warranty will only be serviced and examined by an authorised HUNTMASTER team member.

Conditions:
3. Your HUNTMASTER speargun must be purchased from an authorised HUNTMASTER dealer.
4. Within 30 days of the date of purchase your HUNTMASTER speargun must be registered using the online registration process at www.huntmaster.com.
5. This Lifetime Warranty will not apply to any products modified or changed by the consumer, or any person who is not authorised by the HUNTMASTER team to perform this service.
6. This Lifetime Warranty will not apply where in HUNTMASTER’s sole opinion (acting reasonably):

a. the HUNTMASTER speargun has been used for purposes other than recreational fishing; or

b. where the fault and/or defect is caused by misuse or negligence; or

c. the faults and/or defects result from normal wear and tear which is consistent with the age and usage of the product.

7. This Lifetime Warranty will not apply in circumstances where the HUNTMASTER speargun has been used in contravention of the Australian Underwater Federation’s Spearfishing Code of Conduct.
8. Perishable and consumable items including but not limited to HUNTMASTER Gun Rubbers, Gun Bungees, Bridles, Shooting Line, Crimps and Shafts are not included within the scope of this Lifetime Warranty.
9. This Lifetime Warranty is non-transferable and can only be utilised by the original purchaser registered with HUNTMASTER.
10. To preserve this Lifetime Warranty, please ensure you retain a proof of purchase from an authorised HUNTMASTER Dealer.

Making a claim
11. In order to make a claim under this lifetime warranty:

a. please contact either (i) the authorised HUNTMASTER Dealer where you bought the speargun or (ii) your local HUNTMASTER Dealer. Please ensure that you have details of the serial number and where possible include photographs showing the issue with your product.

b. for purchases made from 1st January to 31st December 2020, from our HUNTMASTER online store, please contact our direct head office at customercare@huntmaster.com or via the website www.huntmaster.com, by phone on 1300 987 983 to discuss the issue with your product.

12. Please send only the stock and do not include the spear shaft, bands, lines or handle in your package. You are responsible for ensuring that any goods returned are appropriately packed so as to prevent damage during transit.
13. Email the details of your tracking number and shipping method to HUNTMASTER.
14. Upon receiving your product, HUNTMASTER will take up to 10 Business Days to assess the warranty claim in respect of your HUNTMASTER speargun and/or complete the work on your product. HUNTMASTER may exercise its discretion to issue you with a replacement Huntmaster Speargun if warranted.
15. Where the assessment and repair cannot be completed within 10 Business Days, HUNTMASTER will contact you to advise the revised timeframe. Additional Costs
16. Under this Lifetime Warranty, you will be responsible for any shipping costs to HUNTMASTER head office.
17. Where the repairs are covered by the Lifetime Warranty, HUNTMASTER will return your product to you at its own expense.
18. HUNTMASTER will contact you in the event that work on your product is not covered by this Lifetime Warranty. For repairs not covered by this Lifetime Warranty you will be responsible for (a) the costs of the repairs and (b) the cost of returning your product to you. Where such repairs are agreed, you must supply a credit card number before the work will be done or alternatively HUNTMASTER will discuss payment options with you. Applicable law.
19. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Note that under Australian Consumer Law you are not entitled to the benefit of the guarantees where you have misused the product in any way that caused the problem.
20. This Lifetime Warranty is governed by the laws of New South Wales and in making a claim under this Lifetime Warranty you agree to submit to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales.
